Just some months into the takeover of Avian Specialties by the Asset Management Corporation Of Nigeria wife of Ibadan billionaire, Gbenga James, Funmi has packed out of their home.
The pretty woman who was handling the business after her husband was attacked by some unknown gunmen cited her husband’s unbecoming attitude as reason for her decision to leave the house.
Mr James is indebted to Union Bank to the tune of about N3B, a loan he received some years ago.
James was at a time the best friend of Governor Fayose of Ekiti State.
He was arrested some years by the EFCC to answer to questions on gross misconduct over a 800 million naira poultry project he handled for the Ekiti State government.
It was his ordeal with the EFCC and his confession that caused a rift between him and his Governor friend.
Insiders revealed that all his attempts to reconcile with Governor Fayose and seek his help met a brickwall, the Governor was said to have told friends he was done with him.
At the moment the Ibadan businessman who used to own the biggest digital hatchery in West Africa is trying to embrace whatever life throws at him, he is lonely with no friends and a wife to comfort him.
