The dirty fighting ahead of 2019 may  have just been triggered off with the criticism of the Kaduna State Governor, Malam Nasir el-Rufai which followed the resignation of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar from the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) on Friday.

Atiku loyalists in swift reaction, are bombarding the governor from all fronts.

A statement signed by the North West Director Media and Publicity, Atiku Care Foundation, Jacob Onjewu Dickson made available to newsnen in Kaduna said the foundation’s Chairman, Ambassador Aliyu Ibn Abbas described el-Rufai as a loser who should stop dreaming of riding on the wings of Buhari to win a second term.

It said that Ambassador Abbas wondered why el-Rufai who lacks the support of the three serving Senators in his state, thinks he is politically relevant to comment on Atiku’s resignation from a party that has impoverished Nigerians.

“Nasir el-Rufai should bow his head in shame and realize that this is not 2015 when he sailed alongside the deception called APC to emerge Governor of Kaduna State.

” Nigerians have seen the true colour of the party and Wazirin Adamawa who is in touch with the masses feels their pains and is unhappy that the change they supported has put them in chains.

“Chains of poverty, chains of oppression and a selective corruption fight when the biggest fraud is being perpetrated under the ruling party.

“el-Rufai should first go and settle his issues with the three serving Senators in his state, teachers in his state, journalists in his state and many others his despotic government has put in chains before commenting on issues that would further compound his woes,” Ambassador Abbas advised.

He said Nigerians have endured enough hardship in these two years of APC propaganda and lies and would be liberated in 2019 from the shackles.

“In the build-up to 2019, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) warned Nigerians, but we were all blinded by lies of the then opposition. Two years after, just as predicted by the then ruling party, we have retrogressed instead of making progress,” he stressed.

It would be recalled that the Kaduna State Governor had on Friday at the Aso Villa after the Juma’at prayers with President Muhammadu Buhari slammed Atiku for dumping the ruling party.

Alhaji Atiku Abubakar had issued an open resignation letter on Fridaymorning, which had caused serious panic in the ruling APC.

It is being speculated that within days, no fewer than five APC governors alongside Senators, members of House of Representatives, state assembly legislators loyal to the former vice president would also dump the APC ahead of the National Convention of the PDP on December 9.
