The biggest music event, the Grammy Awards, will be going down with its 66th edition in Los Angeles on Sunday, with converging of the best of music stars from around the world, and this year’s edition won’t be any different.
The 66th edition will feature 94 categories, with three new categories debuting at the ceremony: Best African Music Performance, Best Alternative Jazz Album, and Best Pop Dance Recording.
According to Recording Academy CEO Harvey Mason Jr., the three new categories will make the Grammy Awards process “more fair, transparent, and accurate.”

Date and where to watch
The Grammy Awards will be held on Sunday, February 4, at Los Angeles’ Crypto.com Arena.
The event starts at 8 p.m. EST on CBS and streams on Paramount+ and even Paramount+ with Showtime.
Trevor Noah’s return as host
Award-winning host and comedian Trevor Noah will return as host of the Grammy Awards for the fourth consecutive year.
“I’m excited about that, yeah, it’s a lot of fun. I enjoy the Grammys because I get to watch the show in person and then experience and comment on it in person while it is happening,” Noah said.
Burna Boy, Travis Scott, Joni Mitchell set to perform
Nigerian singer Damini Ogulu, also known as Burna Boy, will perform at the 66th Grammy Awards alongside Travis Scot and Canadian-American singer-songwriter Joni Mitchell, who will perform for the first time on the Grammy stage.
Also performing are Dua Lipa, Luke Combs, Olivia Rodrigo, SZA, and U2.
