Hardly had the dusts settled on his controversial involvement in 13 billion naira fraud case with Oyo Government,that it was alleged to have been hidden at Heritage bank, Zacheaus Adelabu Adedeji (Zach) busied himself in another deep mess of been detained and interrogated at EFCC headquarter almost on a monthly basis.
Information scooped revealed that immediately Zach made his intension of contesting for the seat of Oyo state governor known to the public, aggrieved citizens and oppositions had written several petitions to EFCC, alleging him of several financial misconduct while he was the commissioner of finance of the state.
Some of the petitions alleged him to have turned billionaire in the twinkle of an eye immediately he secured appointment with the state government. It was even alleged that his company, which is solely the indigenous road contractor in Oyo state, is been used by the state governor to accumulate fund to be used for Zach’s governorship ambition. With the said petitions, the office EFCC is now his second home with invitee for interrogation coming like mean tickets.
With Zach regular detention at EFCC headquarter, his popularity dwindling in the state and his governorship ambition suffers. His loyalist are said to be pitching tent with Bimbo Adekambi, the present Commissioner for Finance in Oyo state, who they claimed to have fair reputation compared to Zach.
It will be recalled that some months ago, the Oyo state governor, Abiola Ajimobi who prides himself as the first ever second term governor of the pacesetters state, allegedly fought tooth and nail to get himself and Zach off the radar of the EFCC. Then it was said to be a case involving Kolapo, the last child of Ibadan business mogul, Chief Kola Daisi. He was said to have been arrested and detained by EFCC following a hint from unknown sources who alleged him of fraud as regard a non-executed contracts secured from the state government while Zaccheaus Adelabu Adedeji was the commissioner for Finance.
