Barring last minute changes, the late Founder of the Christ Revival Victory Chapel International, Prophet Iretiola Ajanaku, will be buried on Thursday, July 17th, 2014

The late cleric who died in controversial circumstances on August 17th, 2013, had been rumoured in some quarters to still be alive, even as a section of the media (particularly online) claim that the prophet was buried by Oro traditionalists.

However, in a statement released by the late cleric’s aides, his burial on the 17th should finally put to rest every unsavory tale that has trailed the death of the late prophet who was popular gospel singer, Tope Alabi’s spiritual father.

According to the statement, “This burial ceremony is intended to finally put to rest all post-death controversies surrounding the life and ministry of this great man of God. It is also an opportunity for us to show our gratitude to thousands of well-meaning Nigerians, churches, and honorable people that have since stood by the church and family left behind by the special man of God.”

The statement continued further, “As part of the burial arrangements, there will be a lying-in-state at the headquarters of the ministry at 17, Koya Akinwale Street, off Aina Obembe Street, Baruwa bus-stop, Oluwaga bustop, Ipaja, Ayobo, Lagos, between 9:00am-11:00am, while interment follows thereafter at his home.
Prophet Iretiola Ajanaku lives on.”

Shortly after his death, it was reported that the late prophet’s family were at logger-heads with his wife, whom they eventually drove out of the house along with her children. Though the late prophet’s camp have denied this insinuations, it has not stopped the rumour mill from spinning up new stories every day.
